Clean The Block – Every 3rd Saturday

In an effort to support the Keep Dekalb Beautiful Initiative and to clean our community up, CFTH and our volunteers meet up every 3rd Saturday at clean up the area at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Village Square Lane. This area is plagued by litter and trash thrown out by passing vehicles and those walking through the neighborhood. Our goal is to raise enough funds or have a partner to clear out the area on Village Square Lane near the creek that is heavily polluted and overfilled with trash. Our intention is to plant a community garden in the vicinity. However, at the present time, there have been reports of rodents due to the tenants at Clifton Glen dumping their garbage there.

Please mark your calendar to join us and PGGH every 3rd Saturday from 9 am – 12 pm as we Clean The Block. Refreshments are provided. This is a great way for high school students and traffic violators to complete their community service requirements.

Community Partners are always needed and welcomed to help pay for refreshments and rewards. To express your interest in becoming a Community Support Partner for our Clean The Block program, complete the contact form.
